Me: I am a
mid late 20 something trying to find my way in this world. I am married to a wonderful man who makes me laugh every single day. I am mommy to three crazy rambunctious pups named the Fuzz, Speedy and Chops. I have three nephews who rock my world (Big Boy, Middle Boy and Little Boy). I spend way too much time selecting font and not nearly enough time editing my posts. I read with a passion and play the violin with my soul. I have PCOS related infertility, and am struggling to balance my desire for a child with my issues surrounding medicine and illness (stemming from OCD – my always present but usually hidden anxiety disorder).
Hubby: An about-to-be-30 year old Firefighter with a passion for tacky COPS episodes and Tim Horton’s Coffee. He is hilarious, and he’s not the only one who thinks so. He is huge and yet has a sweet, gentle side that makes my womb go boom boom.
Chops: Spunky, fun, always up for a party. She is almost always guilty…but rarely sorry. She is the perfect blend of sugar and spice! Nicknamed Chops because the girl is ruled by food.
The Fuzz: Sweet, gently, loving – everything a good dog should be. She cannot be loved enough, and always has room for more love. She is the perfect dog. Nicknamed the Fuzz because of some serious fuzz she has!
Wicket: Our newest edition. Approx. the size of Chops/The Fuzz’s poop, yet has a personality bigger than life. Fast as a racehorse, and always up to something. Fits perfectly in a baby carrier, (not that I’ve tried), and loves to be held and carried around (not that I do that….). Nicknamed Wicket after the Ewok – because he does a shockingly good initiation anytime he REALLY wants something!
The Ladies: Our four hens – Leia, Penny, Elle and Splash. Addicting, quirky, and the superstar providers of eggs for us.
Turbo: The gecko…all he really does is lay there and eat, but the boys love him!
The Boys (our nephews): Big Boy, Middle Boy and Little Boy.
Big Boy is responsible, loving, and hilarious. In his spare time he is busy saving the world and practising his ninja skills.
Middle Boy is charming, talented and sweet. He enjoys dress up, wearing hats, and creating all kinds of incredibly imaginative stories.
Little Boy is spirited, kind and full of personality. He is usually guilty (like Chops), but pulls a pout better than any selfie-loving teenager I’ve ever seen and has a knack for making YOU feel guilty for his naughty deed. Above all else he loves animals, and is so kind and gentle with them.
As a family we love to laugh and try to always see the positive in situations, no matter how hopeless they feel. I truly believe my life has been laid out for me, and it’s up to me to choose the path I take to get to the markers already set out for me – like a game of snakes and ladders. I love and trust God, and know that He will be there with me.
Thanks for joining me on this journey…a mishmash of infertility, life, my pups, and PCOS with the occasional soapbox stand thrown in for good measure. I’m always happy to have company on this crazy ride!
